This video demonstrates how to align the head and torso for meditation whether sitting in a chair or cross-legged on a flat surface.
Pointers
- Sit on the floor on a cushion or blanket, if possible, If using both, place the cushion beneath the blanket.
- If sitting on the floor is uncomfortable, sit on a firm chair without leaning against the back. Allow the body to feel relaxed.
- Align the torso, neck, and head in an upright posture (straight line), maintaining the natural curvature of the spine without stiffness.
- Relax the body fully while remaining attentive to keeping the torso upright and free from slouching.
- Keep the head straight and relaxed, neither tilted upward nor downward.
